It is an excellent Cloud option for new startups. It fully integrates with Office 365. You can even use Outlook to create Quotes, Orders and Invoices as well as Workflow Approvals.

The design and functionality for D365 for Financials - Business Edition is based on Navision, which was one of Microsoft's four Accounting/ERP Solutions purchased in 2002. Navision is known for its ability to be customized; although the D365 underlying code is based on Microsoft's Common Data Model, which is the new code structure for the entire D365 and Office 365 Suite of products. D365 functionality can be extended by Service Extensions, such as: PayPal-credit card processing, AP invoice processing with OCR, SMTP-Mail, Bank Feeds, Currency Exchange Rates, Power BI, and a full Microsoft CRM connection (Now known as "Dynamics 365 for Sales"). Microsoft is devoting huge development resources to D365. Every month more and more integrating applications are being added to the App Store.
